Chris Cline is an American billionaire entrepreneur and philanthropist. He was previously the majority owner of Foresight Reserves LP, headquartered in St. Petersburg. Louis, Missouri. Deemed by Bloomberg to be the “New King of Coal,” Cline is considered the man responsible for reviving the Illinois coal industry. His company has coal reserves of over three billion tonnes across Illinois and the Northern Appalachians.

Foresight Reserves LP is owned by an American coal executive. He was valued more than $1.7 billion.

His father and grandparents were both miners, and when he was twenty-one years old, he bought stock in his family’s business.

As a philanthropist, he actively supported sports medicine at Marshall University and the University of West Virgina, which also created the Christopher Cline Chair in Orthopaedic Surgery thanks to his donation.

His first wife died of breast cancer while he was young. From 1993 to 2000, he was married to Kelly, his second wife. He was the father of two sons and two daughters. Elin Nordegren was his girlfriend, however they broke up in 2014.

He was included in the Forbes 400 billionaires list, which also included Sheldon Adelson .
